Going out for High Tea is a lovely treat. Ever since I was in school choir and we sang Puttin' on the Ritz I have been fascinated with the idea of such a fancy afternoon tea.

When I lived in the UK I was lucky enough to be able to go to the Ritz for afternoon tea once, that was before I was disgnosed with Coeliac Disease though.

My family has always loved going out for afternoon tea. As kids my parents would often take as for a drive on a Sunday afternoon and have afternoon tea out. Fruit scones with jam and cream was always my favourite.

Since returning to Perth and being diagnosed with Coeliac Disease, I have discovered that there are a number of places in Perth that serve a gluten free version of high tea.

For my 30th we had a lovely high tea at the Peninsula Tea Garden in Maylands.

High Tea with Royal Albert China

The high tea served was lovely. They swapped the sandwiches for a yummy potato and onion fritatta (cooked in a muffin pan) See Picture below. there were two cupcakes and two slices and two gluten free scones.

The tables were beautifully set, and the scenery next to the river was so beautiful. My best friend in London came to visit a few months later and we went back there for high tea again.

This is there website - http://www.peninsulateagardens.com/#!hightea/cff9
